Fredrik Bergstén’s and SFP\’s Values
The Swedish People’s Party (SFP) and I share a strong vision for Vichtis and Finland, where everyone, regardless of background, can feel at home and contribute to society. Vichtis’ strategy for 2022-2025 has laid a solid foundation for sustainable development, growth, and welfare in the municipality. We now want to build upon this foundation and further develop the strategy to create an even stronger and more inclusive community. We are working to preserve and improve our bilingual services and ensure that the rights of all minorities are upheld. Education, sustainable development, and a robust local economy are central to building a society where every individual has the opportunity to succeed.
Education is one of the most important investments for Vichtis and Finland. SFP and I believe that every child should have access to high-quality education, from preschool to higher education, regardless of where they live. We want to develop cooperation between Vichtis and neighboring municipalities to improve the quality of education and promote opportunities for distance learning and digital learning environments. Part of this work involves integrating sustainability education into school curriculums, equipping future generations with the tools to protect the environment.
Sustainable development is a cornerstone of both my and SFP’s policies. We are convinced that economic growth must go hand in hand with environmental responsibility to ensure that future generations can live in harmony with nature. We want to see municipal decisions that seriously consider long-term sustainability, including protecting natural areas, promoting renewable energy, and minimizing the environmental impact of construction projects. By building sustainable residential areas and infrastructure that support a green and active lifestyle, we can lay the foundation for a bright future.
SFP’s economic policy focuses on building a strong and stable Finland by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and smart investments. My vision for economic growth in Vichtis is to create an environment where businesses have the opportunity to thrive and grow, while we actively protect the environment. By attracting new residents and companies, we can increase economic activity in the region and create new jobs. We also need to promote local entrepreneurship and support small businesses, which are an important part of the municipality’s economy.
Individual freedom is a fundamental principle for both SFP and myself. A free and open society that upholds the individual’s right to shape their own life is the foundation of a functioning democracy. We advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion, where everyone is treated with respect, regardless of gender, language, ethnicity, or background. SFP’s work to protect minority rights, promote equality, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in society are issues that I also consider crucial.
To strengthen Vichtis and its development, both SFP and I believe in the importance of strong cooperation between local stakeholders and the residents of the municipality. We need local decision-makers who have real influence over the issues that affect our municipality and its future. That’s why we advocate for policies that give Vichtis more power and resources to act in the best interests of its residents, without relying on external decisions. By promoting close dialogue between the municipality, businesses, and associations, we can ensure that the decisions made reflect the real needs and priorities of the people of Vichtis.
